Ben Got Botox!

Yes, its true! Ben got Botox last Tuesday at The Rose Clinic in Springville. It was pure vanity! Just kidding! Since we all suffer from Ben's severe frequent Migranes, we decided to give Botox a try to see if it would help him. The last few weeks he has been getting a Migrane almost everyday and it has been a nightmare! If the Botox helps him get rid of his headaches then the next step would be surgery to remove the nerves and muscles in his head at various trigger points. The plastic surgeon we met with (Dr. Rose) said it will also automatically give him a brow lift-lucky Ben! It takes at least a week before it starts to help, so we are anxiously waiting to see if it works! Heres hoping!

Valentines Day

Happy late Valentines Day! Ben bought me 2 dozen roses! How nice! Jared & Brittany invited us to go to dinner with them on Valentines Day. We played games with them after. It was really fun! Thanks for inviting us! On Friday night, Ben's parents watched the boys and we went to The Mandarin with Brian and Catherine Hess. It was a really fun week! Payton and Parker had a really fun Valentines Day. I got them new swimming suits and some candy. Payton always loves to give us a big hug and kiss several times everyday and on Valentines Day this year he said, "Mom, guess what I want to give you for Valentines Day?" I said what and he said, "A big handshake!" And he did! How funny that on the day about love, etc that he thought a big handshake was pretty cool! Payton loved getting all of his Valentines cards and treats from his preschool classes. This was his first year of actually signing his Valentines Day cards and he had so much fun doing them-he had to write about 34 of them because of both of his preschool classes. He is still carrying around his bag of Valentines and won't eat any of the candy. It reminds me of when I was little. I use to hoard all of my candy that I got from Halloween and Valentines Day and only occasionally ate a piece. One day, I went to eat a piece of chocolate and when I bit into the chocolate, a bunch of weevils came crawling out of it. I about died! It was so disgusting! Maybe that is why I never save candy anymore! I just pig out on it when I get it!

Who said "I love you" first?: Ben did first, but I said it right after him; he totally confused me though because about 1-2 weeks before that he kindof got freaked out and told me that he wanted to make sure that I knew that he didn't want to get married anytime soon-not until he was at least 25 years old (he was 21 at the time). But he still wanted to keep dating....he must have gotten cold feet!

Who cooks dinner?: It used to be Ben all of the time, but since I quit working it is mostly me-although he is definitely the better cook. Ben makes homemade bread every Sunday-it is SO good!

Who proposed?: Ben, although I kind-of ruined it! I knew that he was going to be getting the ring soon, but he told me that it still wasn't done. When we were at dinner that night I kept pretending that he still had it and I grabbed his pocket thinking that he really didn't and I felt it-OOPS! He was so mad! I have always been so mad at myself for doing that!

My Sweet Boys!

Payton in his Super Star glasses that he made at Pre-school this week!

I've been trying to go to the temple every other week with Tiffany lately, and after we came home on Tuesday, I told Payton where I had gone. Here's our conversation:

Me: "Payton, I went to the Temple today with Tiffany."
Payton: (excited) "You did! Did you see Jesus there? I want to go there and see Jesus! Please mom!" (how sweet)

a few minutes later....

Me: "Someday you can get married in the temple to a nice girl."
Payton: "No-I want to marry Hyrum!" (his cousin)

So funny.....




Since Payton always tells me and Ben that he wants to give us a big hug and kiss, Parker has started doing that too! It is really cute-he just kisses me over and over again!

Here he is biting his fingernails as he is coloring(what a bad habit that I haven't been able to break him or myself of-like mother like son).

Let it Snow

Wow! What a week! It just keeps snowing and snowing and snowing! We are starting to feel like that is all it does everyday lately! We have gotten so much snow! On Sunday after church, it snowed so much that several people got stuck on their way home and they even got stuck in the church parking lot. Ben spent the remainder of the afternoon with his 4 wheeler and snow plow helping people get the snow situation under control. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the snow-it is about as deep as Parker now in front of our house as you can see in this first picture!

In Memeory of President Gordon B. Hinckley

When I first found out from a friend that he died, my first response was shock-even though I knew that it was going to happen sooner rather than later, I was still so shocked. And sad-for me not for him. What an amazing person President Hinckley was. Even though I never had the chance to officially meet him, I will miss him so much! I feel sad that my children will never know him as their prophet, but I am happy to know that he is finally with his beloved wife Marjorie. I have loved watching all of the news coverage in the past few days on his life as well as his funeral last Saturday-he was so remarkable. Even if you aren't a member of the church, people still respected him so much! Till we meet again!
