Ben ran the Farmington 1/2 Marathon on the 12th of July with a bunch of his friends. They did a great job! I had been waiting at the finish line for Ben and finally noticed him when I saw Payton running at the end with him (he had been waiting with Papa up the street)! Good job guys!Tuesday, July 22, 2008
Farmington Half Marathon
Ben ran the Farmington 1/2 Marathon on the 12th of July with a bunch of his friends. They did a great job! I had been waiting at the finish line for Ben and finally noticed him when I saw Payton running at the end with him (he had been waiting with Papa up the street)! Good job guys!4th of July with the Armstrong's
We went to Silver Lake up American Fork Canyon for the 4th of July with Ben's family. It was a lot of fun. The kids had a great time riding the 4 wheeler and fishing! It is so beautiful there! It was perfect weather too!4th of July BBQ with DeGroff Family
All of the cousins were able to make it to the family bbq the day after the 4th except for Jared and his siblings (he will be coming down in August-we can't wait to see him). Craig and Dana just had a new baby girl that they brought-congrats!
Me and my sister Kimberly. She just graduated from BYU this Spring and will be leaving to get her Masters at USC this fall. What a smartie!Thomas the Train
Payton found out that Thomas the Train was coming to town from some of his friends and kept begging us to take him. It was cold and wet on Memorial Day when we went, but they did have so much fun seeing Thomas and riding the train (even though it doesn't look like they were having fun!) They both wouldn't let me wash off their train tatoos for over a week that they got there!Payton's Preschool Graduations

Payton, Emmie, and Brooklyn with their teachers Mrs. Westover, Mrs. Rowlings, and Mrs. Turner. Payton loved going to preschool with his friends! He also went to preschool here last year. He went here every M, W, & F.

Payton with one of his teachers, Mrs. Turner, at Knowledge Adventures Preschool. She was reading about Payton: I'm Marvelous because...I am Payton! I can say the letters and numbers. I like playtime. I love writing my name!

Payton dancing to his favorite song, "The Freeze Dance" song!

Payton and Parker after the preschool graduation was over.

Payton and his teacher Mrs. Goeringer on the 2nd to last day of class and then at the carnival on the last day of class. He loved going to preschool at Learning Dynamics! The reading program is amazing! He went here every Tuesday and Thursday.

Learning Dynamics cute Mother's Day program!

Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay

Ben ran the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay race on June 21st. It's a relay race from Logan to Park City with a 12 member team. They each run three different legs of the race and since it is a 2 day race, they run during the night and don't get really any sleep! Crazy! The whole race is 190 miles total! He did such a great job! I am so proud of him! He ran it with a bunch of his friends from high school-they had such a great experience that they want to do it again next year! Wow! Ben's becoming quite the runner-he is going to be running the Farmington 1/2 marathon this weekend and hopes to run the Logan marathon this September! Great job babe!Wednesday, July 2, 2008
REALLY Funny Story
This past Sunday morning brought an unexpected, but pretty funny suprise to our house. We had fed the boys and had them occupied downstairs when Ben and I decided to have some "alone time" before church. Thinking that I didn't have to worry about my kids, we didn't lock our bedroom door (although it was only barely cracked open). Anyways, a little bit later, I thought I heard the front door close-I told Ben what I heard and thought it was probably Payton going outside for a minute-no big deal. About 10-15 seconds later, our bedroom door opened. Much to our surprise, in walks our 4 year old next door neighbor Carson with the Sunday newspaper.
Me: "OHHH!!! HI!!! Carson! Payton's downstairs okay!"
Carson: "I brought you your newspaper."
Me: "Ohhhhh!!!! Okay, thanks!!!! Payton's downstairs k!"
Carson: "But here's your newspaper," he said as he walks it over and hands it to me.
Me: "Okay, bye!"
Seriously, I have never laughed so hard! Luckily he wasn't traumitized because he didn't see anything. But really, I will never forget that moment. I guess the lesson in all of this is to lock your front door (because you may know what your kids are doing, but what about your neighbors kids)....or at least lock your bedroom door! :)
